Dr. Smith is a board certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon with extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of problems with skin, hair and nails—both medically and surgically. Dr. Smith has been practicing in Rome, GA for 26 years. Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Medicine degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1981. He then completed a one year internship at Lafayette Charity Hospital in Louisiana before entering LSU-Tulane’s three year residency program for dermatologic surgery where he served as chief resident. Dr. Smith also has advanced training in phototherapy, laser surgery, Botox and cosmetic injectable fillers. Dr. Smith regularly attends accredited continuing medical educational programs in an effort to provide the most up-to-date dermatologic care.
Dr. Smith enjoys medical photography and speaking to his peers as well as mentoring LSU medical students about dermatological issues. Dr. Smith enjoys traveling and photography outside of medicine.
Dr. Keith Harris is a well-established, highly regarded dermatologist with 20 years of experience in dermatology. He has been practicing in the Northwest Georgia area for 13 years. Dr. Harris received his masters of public health degree in 1989 and his medical degree in 1991 from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. His internship in internal medicine was completed at the Washington Hospital Center in the District of Columbia in 1992. Dermatology residency training was completed in 1995 at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Harris continues his medical training and education at many accredited programs to stay up to date on dermatological care including laser and surgical procedures. Dr. Harris volunteers and staffs skin cancer screenings and health fairs throughout the state and also volunteers his time speaking and mentoring at career days from the elementary to high school levels. His time away from medicine is spent hiking, biking, and traveling.
Inga received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Paine College in Augusta, GA. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University. Inga practiced as a Registered Nurse in Women’s and Children’s Health until obtaining her Masters of Nursing and Masters of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. After obtaining dual master’s degrees, she realized that patient care was her true calling. As a result, she went on to complete her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from South University in 2016. Inga practiced in Dermatology for almost two years in Rome, GA before joining Northwest Georgia Dermatology in April 2018. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Nicole Collins is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia and obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Vanderbilt University, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. Nicole has been practicing in Dermatology since 2014 in Rome, GA and Calhoun, GA, and joined Northwest Georgia Dermatology’s team of skin care specialists in October 2018. She has received specialized training in dermatology and is able to provide a full scope of dermatological services. In 2018, Nicole completed the requirements and certification exam set forth by the Dermatology Nursing Certification Board to obtain the prestigious title of Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP). She enjoys the medical, surgical and cosmetic aspects of dermatology. Nicole is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (NADNP) and the Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA). In her spare time, Nicole - a native of Rome, GA - enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with her husband Shane Rehberg and stepchildren, Harper and Luke. Nicole sees patients in the Rome location five days a week.
Christin received her B.S. from the University of Florida in 2000. She completed her PA and master's degree from University of Florida in 2002. Christin practiced pediatrics for two years before joining Dr. Smith in May of 2004.
Dora received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia State University in May of 2009. She completed her PA program and received her Masters of Physician Assistant degree in August 2013. Dora practiced in Dermatology for one year in Atlanta, GA before joining Northwest Georgia Dermatology in January 2015. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants and American Academy of Dermatology.
Sara is our skin care specialist. Sarah joined the team July of 2016. She is from Centre, Alabama. She received her esthetic License from Aveda Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. She is also a graduate of Sand Rock High School and studied Biology at Shorter University.
