Dr. Jason Smith is a board certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon with extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of problems with skin, hair and nails—both medically and surgically. Dr. Smith has been practicing in Rome, GA for 26 years. Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Medicine degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1981. He then completed a one year internship at Lafayette Charity Hospital in Louisiana before entering LSU-Tulane’s three year residency program for dermatologic surgery where he served as chief resident. Dr. Smith also has advanced training in phototherapy, laser surgery, Botox and cosmetic injectable fillers. Dr. Smith regularly attends accredited continuing medical educational programs in an effort to provide the most up-to-date dermatologic care.
Dr. Smith enjoys medical photography and speaking to his peers as well as mentoring LSU medical students about dermatological issues. Dr. Smith enjoys traveling and photography outside of medicine.
